I have thought a lot today about eternal families. My brother and sister-in-law are picking up their new baby boy today. I've been driving around today thinking about how happy I am for them but even more so for this baby. Baby Neville (no def name yet, but I have my vote in) is going to be able to be sealed to Nick, Connie and his siblings for all eternity. The mother only has a slight view on how blessed this child will be for picking an eternal family. As I am preparing my visiting teaching message (yes the last day of the month) It talks about motherhood and what a divine gift it is to be able to prepare our posterity for eternal life. I didn't always understand what a gift it is to raise children and I'm sure I don't fully understand it now, but as I get more experience my testimony grows stronger about eternal families.
"Be of good cheer, for I will lead you along. The kingdom is yours and the blessings thereof are yours, and the riches of eternity are yours." D&C 78:18

I find myself being unhappy over stupid things even though I'm happy. Does anyone else do that. I've been mad at Josh since my birthday and I have been giving him a hard time over everything he does even if it isn't a big deal. I guess it's time for me to forgive him and move on. My life is better then I ever could have imagined it. I was reading in my journal yesterday and it helped me to remember what is important to me. I was reading about when I was at the police academy and I was trying to talk myself into staying. I was telling myself I only wanted to leave because I was scared, I had always wanted to be a police officer. I would then say how much I wanted to have a family and be home to talk care of my family. How sad I was for missing things Ethan was doing. It was at this time in my life that I knew how I really wanted to live. I wanted to live just like I am living now. At home with two beautiful children and a husband who loves us. Heavenly Father has blessed me so much and lead me in a direction I didn't think I wanted growing up. In RS today we talked about where we came from and people were talking about their grandparents. It made me think of my sister in law Keeley and her post on her grandparents and how she hopes Andrew and her will still be in love at that age. What a life to live and to be in love for that long through the good and the bad. What would that be like? I remember watching my grandpa when my grandma was still alive but having a hard time remembering who and were she was. it was so sad to see and I tried to avoid it. He lived for one year and 6 days with a broken heart when she died. I can't fathom the pain he went through. My parents have been married for 35 years and still go on dates. These are couples who love each other and don't let the little things bother them. Why am I holding Josh to these standards which no one could reach? My journal talks about how much I love him and want to spend my life with him, I guess I just needed these reminders to remind me that Josh is the love of my life, that he would do anything for me and I should do anything for him. It's time for me to forget about my birthday and think about everything he does do for me. It's time for me to be happy because there is nothing for me to be unhappy about. That's my goal for the week--BE HAPPY!!! it's not that hard. I challange each of us to try for one week to be happy and not allow things to bother us, be peacemakers, avoid gossip, enjoy the time we spend with our family.

So there is this new thing called Facebook, well I guess it's only new to me but I just found out about it. This seems to be the month for reuniteing with old high school buddys. First my freind Jenny tracked me down through Ginger. I then was able to track Jo down. Then my dear freind Tana introduced me to facebook. (not like I need another thing to keep me near the computer) It brought back so many "high school" feelings looking at these people who I had not seen or heard from in years but had thought about here and there. There is even this guy who's main goal (so it seemed) in high school was to make me feel like crap. Seeing his name even brought back those icky high school feelings. It's weird to me that just seeing people can bring back so many good and bad feelings and memories. I am so happy to be out of high school but now I am sort of looking forward to our 10 year which has come up so fast. I'm in aw about how my Friends have grown up and now have families and I didn't even know any of it was happening. Life does exist for people when they aren't around me!! :-) On a more personal note, Josh has decided that this picture of him should be the one as this funeral. I would like to get some comments on what you people think so I can pass them on to Josh!

I am starting to take some family pictures so I have a lot to pick from when it comes time for Christmas cards. I thought I would share a few of the ones that won't work but I like anyway.

The BIG 35!!! I want to give a shout out to my lovely parents who have been married for 35 years now. Today is their anniversary. That's a really long time to be with the same person. It was almost more then Josh and I could grasp when we were talking about only being married 2 years. I wish more families could make it that long. This morning when Josh and I were talking about it over breakfast, Ethan said he hopes we never get the big D. It's sad that it is such a common idea now-a-days. I wish little kids and big kids didn't need to worry about things like that. So here is some big props to my wonderful parents who still love each other and make me sick after 35 years.

Second cutting is well underway so be prepared for many pictures. Mike, I hope this helps ease some of that homesickness you were feeling after seeing the FHE. Even Jaxon was there to help. I tried to help but wanted to take pictures. I have found that if you drive very poor and they have to yell at you a lot then they have Brandon, my 11 yr old nephew drive not me. We all had our way that night. We have the dangerous task of jumping on to a moving truck. The Neville boys don't slow down for anyone. Even scout was having a hard time catching up. George rescued us from a night of labor with fudge bars. Ethan and lance has to share, you can see it was hard for E to wait his turn. Even Jax liked a little lick or two. Yes I did let someone Else's mouth touch something of mine. Dan took his fudge out of his mouth for the picture. It almost looks like he's trying to tell me something not very nice--I don't think he wanted his picture taken! :-) As the evening slowed down, Geordon sported a new look. Yes ladies he is still single. Jax got a lift from dad and we walked up the hill home. Stay tuned for more of the second cutting later this week.

It official...Josh has now passed me in my law enforcement time. I'm not sure how I feel about that. A Friend asked me last night if I missed it. I don't miss it but I do find myself having some feelings about Josh's new angle over me. My parents were laughing last week because they said they had been waiting for the day that Josh could say he now knows more about it then me. I don't like that. I wish I knew how to sort through these feelings to figure out exactly how I feel about it. I guess it dumb to feel a little sad about it, I know its dumb. So that beings up a question. How do you get over something if you don't know whats wrong and you know its dumb to feel bad about it? Any input on this would be great.

Neville FHE

So we started our rotations for the Neville FHE last noc. It was mine and Josh's turn so we played soccer. Ethan, Lance and Brandon are all in soccer this fall and wanted to learn a few moves from their uncles (and dad) all of whom played soccer. Geordan worked with E being the Keeper. Dan worked with Brandon on Defence. Shane worked with Lance on not being a ball hog. All in all they learned a lot I think.

Then we ended up playing 4 on 4. Needless to say I was not very good so there were no pic of me taken. However, there were many other good players , cheer staff , and Geordon's back. There was some def. weirdness going on. With Lance's head turning into a ball and Ethan looking very scared of something .I hope our lesson on keeping our body's healthy sank in. The noc ended with a smokey moon which was beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better FHE.
