Questions Answered

So I have had a ton of people asking me what happened exactly and I finally feel like sharing. This seems to be the easiest way then I know I wont choke up. (depends on the day for that)

It started Saturday (2 weeks ago) when I was with my parents. Ethan had an ear infection so my mom came with me to take the kids to the Dr. I had been having some cramping but nothing scary along with spotting which I also had with Ethan and Jaxon. I asked the Dr if I should call my dr to ask about the cramps and she said I should. After talking to the on call Dr he told me to either go to the ER or bed rest for the rest of the weekend. Josh and I had our first Dr appt for the baby on Monday morning. Dr. Tomlinson (I love him) did an ultrasound to figure out exactly when I was due. I showed that I was 12 weeks along and due sometime around Feb 27 but there was no heartbeat. He ran some more tests and saw the baby had water on his brain and spine which is common with Turners Syndrome. He said that was most likely what killed the baby. The baby died about two weeks earlier, right about the time I stopped feeling so sick. We were very sad and Josh was awesome with me even though he was so sad himself. Dr. Dan didn't want me to have a natural miscarriage for two reasons 1) I was so far along & it is like having a baby (almost) so there would be a lot of pain 2) I bleed a lot when I give birth for no reason. He scheduled a D & C the next morning. That night Josh was on splits with the missionaries and I started to cramp again. They turned into contractions so I called Josh. After trying to make it stop and losing the baby at home we decided to go to the hospital because I was still bleeding. It was so scary for me because no one was moving as fast as I wanted them to. I kept thinking I was going to leave my husband with 2 kids to raise which made me angry. I has sitting in a pool of blood and there was a pool of it on the floor below me before they finally started to take us serious about the fact that I wouldn't stop until someone did something. It was estimated that I lost at least 2 liters of blood. Josh was great sitting by my side all night until the next morning when they gave me a D & C to remove the rest of the tissue and stop the bleeding. So to make a long story long, that is what happened. We are so grateful to everyone who sent us meals, notes, phone calls and flowers. We feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends and awesome family. I know it is stupid to feel so sad about it but everyone has made me feel loved. Thanks for all your support. We love you!

Update

I feel really bad that I have not been very good at keeping my blog updated. After all my issues are gone I finally feel like posting more pics however...I have not been very good at taking pics. The last ones I took were from the 4th of July. Sad I know! But we are traveling back to Utah and Idaho next week so keep your eyes posted for those pics! Here are a few pics from the 4th.
