Today I am Thankful for...food

I know it sounds corny but I am excited about the feast we will have later today. There are so many out there to go without and I am going over! This is our menu:
1) Turkey
2) homemade mashers
3) sweet potatoes with brown suger and marshmallows
4) my grandma's fruit salad
5) corn dish (never had it but my mom said it is good)
6) stuffing with sausage and apples
7) gravy
8) homemade cranberry sauce
9) rolls

and for dessert: All homemade!!!
1) apple pie
2) lemon meringue pie
3) Carrot pie (like carrot cake)
4) eggnog clustered pie
5) homemade whip topping!

I love it and will be very fat...it should all burn off tomorrow during black Friday shopping!

Today I am Thankful for...Family's

It's a little sad that we have to wait and count on the holiday's to bring family's together. I get to spend Thanksgiving here with my family which is nice but my husbands family will all be out of town. Not so nice. I love having such a wonderful family who can fight and make up and laugh about and at each other. I would say we mostly laugh at each other :-)

Today I am Thankful for....

The bodies Heavenly Father gave to us. Jaxon slept all night which hasn't happened in a while so needless to say I was ready to feed him this morning. He on the other had wasn't hungry (I don't know why) so I start to pump just to relieve the pain I am going through (only nursing mothers know what I am talking about but trust me it isn't fun). I thought I had piled the pillows high enough behind me so Jax couldn't fall off. Well...NOW I know that he is at the stage where he crawls over the pillows. He was too quick or I wasn't quick enough but down he went, head first. I have a very tall bed which requires me to do a little high jump just to get on so this was a good fall for Jax. He was crying, I was making sure nothing was broken and then he was fine. He does not want to be put down yet though so I am typing with him on my lap. Heavenly Father has blessed us with such awesome bodies. I am so Thankful for Jaxon's little body today!

Today I am thankful for my husbands job.

I am thankful for a husband who can fix anything. Yesterday he fixed a fence so the horses couldn't escape, last night he fixed three lights so now I have better light in my home and so far today he has fixed some awesome french toast! He rocks!!!

From now until Friday I will be posting something I am very Thankful for. I figure it is a good way to help me remember to be thankful.

Today I am thankful for fog. I wake up every morning and look across the valley of fog. It is beautiful and reminds me just what a beautiful world this truly is.

It's funny how things turn out!!!!

That's all one of my best friends, Cassidy, and I could say when she was here last week. We had a blast talking and laughing about the past...not just high school but that was good to. We looked at pictures and where people were at in their lives right now and where we are at too. I feel, as does Cass, that I am so blessed and it really is funny how things turn out. I married a man who I probably wouldn't have got along with in high school. I have a new (er) baby and a wonderful son to help me. Cass is married to a man who gets her and supports her and loves her. What more can we ask for. So here's to:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDREW!!!!!

I feel like the worst sister in the whole world and right now I'm sure my brother would agree...I forgot his birthday yesterday. So I am doing a whole blog spot on my brother today so everyone can know a little more about my brother. He use to wear a bright blue fanny pack with large gold glasses. He was often very mean to me but was always there to stick up for me when I needed it. He use to make Ethan cry but now he is ok with Ethan. Now he's not such a big fan of Jax as you can see in the picture below. He married Keeley and moved to S.C. but we are hoping he will move back west someday. He loves his job and seems to be very good at it. He never passed judgment on me when it was something big such as getting prego in high school or quiting as a police officer, he was always there for me. The older he gets, I think the wiser he gets. He seems to have a better view on life now and I often turn to him when I need someone who knows what they are talking about. So Andrew I am only being nice because I forgot your birthday so don't expect this ever again. Miss you guys. And Keeley this is only a little about my kids so it shouldn't bore you! :-)
