New Year's Goals
New Years 2009
One year ago
I cant believe it is a new year already. I remember when I was young and I thought time couldn't pass fast enough and now I want it to slow down. I was looking at some friends facebook pages this past week and someone said something about looking good at 27. At first I thought '27 is old, I wonder what I will be like when I am 27'.....I turned 28 last year. Well I have some well thought out goals for this next year and I will need the help of my friends and family.
Goal 1)
Weight Loss
That is just how it sounds. I am at the point were being in shape is not my goal just to look better in my old clothes. I know that means working out which will help with being in shape but it is purely about the look. Sorry all you healthy people.
Goal 2)
Negative thinking/talking
This will require help from those I associate with because I can join in with the best of them and often lead the conversation that direction. I started thinking about how much energy I was wasting thinking about everyone else's negative or annoying traits. What a lame way to spend my time. So please don't come to me if you need to be negative about someone. Bad days: yes; talking bad about someone: no.
Goal 3)
Food Storage/financial Reserve or budgeting
I want to build my 1 year food storage. Plain and simple. I plan on following the 52 week plan which is $5 a week per person. As far as the financial part goes, I want to be out of debt and then using the money I was putting to it into savings once everything is paid off to build a reserve.
I want to wish everyone luck with their goals as we start this new year. I look forward to seeing what it will bring.

Blazer Game
I traveled with Josh and the boys up to Portland for their annual Cub Scout Blazer Game. I wasn't going to go to the game but Leslie and Lyle surprised me with two tickets (for me and Leslie) practically front row. We were sitting with the players wives, that's how close we were. I was as getty as a little kid on Christmas. I love going to games so to be able to go and have the best seats in the world was (well, I could I have cried from happiness). We felt a little bad that the boys (Lyle, Nick, Josh, Tyler, Brandon, Lance, Ethan and Colin) were sitting up in the nose bleed section but it didn't seem fair to leave some up there so we kept the seats. :-)

Christmas Tree Hunt 2009
Josh found our tree within minutes of being there. It was great. He always does such a good job at picking the tree out. George took us far into the mountains to find the right tree. We went with Nick and Connie's family and made a day of it. It was great with one exception: the food. We stopped at a little family restaurant on the way home. It would have tasted better coming back up then going down. It was a sad little restaurant that will never feed us again! Dallin and Jaxon were very cute together as they played with Grandpa in the back of the truck.
